Whatever happened to Nas on Tiny Desk?
I think that during the Kelis domestic violence accusations . Alot of stuff probably good pulled during that time.Whatever happened to Nas on Tiny Desk?
I feel nas thinks hes too big for that in a way, hes like jay they dont do those type of things anymore or interviews unless its rare or for their own stuffWhatever happened to Nas on Tiny Desk?
By all accounts he did the tiny desk performance but it got scrapped. No word on why.I feel nas thinks hes too big for that in a way, hes like jay they dont do those type of things anymore or interviews unless its rare or for their own stuff

It was decent. Surprised they got him for the album considering how busy son been. But yea. We’ve heard better feature verses from him as of late. Such as the Slick Rick feature. I think it’s the subject matter that I didn’t really care for in his verse. I feel like he SHOULDVE went harder based on how many eyes was on this album.
Yea I think it’s a decent verse but I just didn’t wanna hear Nas talking about that on a Clipse song. Ironically tho people outside of this site and in real life have all been saying he killed it. I guess so. lol.It didn't fit the album to me. And it feels like we've gotten the "I started the vet rap wave and won a Grammy and I'm so big [insert size comparison]" bars for awhile. It just didn't stand out on an album full of standout verses.
Also we know Push has been trying to get a Nas verse for awhile and that mixed with not getting a Jay verse KINDA makes me think they don't really fukk with this. I'm sure they think the bars are dope, Clipse can rap etc but I just don't think either is in a head space to really care about drug raps right now. Same reason Griselda still can't get a verse from Jay or Nas. Not saying the album is entirely about coke rap, it's clearly not. But still.

I don't think it's partnerships (many of the same ones had no issue working with guys like Jay/Drake/etc when they were saying wild shyt) it's just he moved on. When Nas said "don't rap about death there's power in what you say" it really crystalized we're never getting 100% Esco shyt again. With that line in mind, imagine what he thinks about guys like Benny or Conway who are 40+ years old rapping about killing people and selling drugs. There's no way he fukks with it beyond the most basic level "ok that guy can rap" lol.Yeah.. Nas content has changed.. probably due to his business partnerships. Is what it is...

I’m lookin at reactions and everyone who reacting sayin Nas blessed them with his verse. People love the verse in real life way more than we do on here. lolAgree it's just a solid verse, we know Nas had way better in recent years, but I do think it fit the song.
Whole song is really just flexing and talking shyt and it got numerous shots at Jim and idiots like him, including the first bar. We know Jim been yapping at Pusha and Nas for a couple years now.
Nas verse just a quick flex shytting on these types in comparison to himself and other decorated elder statesman types including Clipse.

I feel like people being more critical so they dint look like stans lol. Im not saying it was a 10 out of 10 verse but acting like it's some trash mediocre verse is overdoing it.Noticed that too. Coli usually love Nas but the reaction to this verse been way harsher on here, everything I seen on social media been positive.
