Live's chance was last year. 2K17 was trash, sloppy, rushed (needed 12 patches) and the community really wasn't fukking with it.
Live had an opportunity to gain some ground and capitalize but these clowns didn't even release a game.
These dudes were by themselves on the break and had a wide open layup and they pulled a Sam Dekker. Now 2K bounces back and drops arguably the GOAT basketball game in 18. 2K went and lapped Live again in the gameplay department. I would have gladly checked out Live 17 just to not play that piece of shyt called 2K17. This year I'm not even looking in their direction.
Live can't realistically catch up. Them dropping a good game isn't enough. 2K has to consistently drop shyt game after shyt game as well and that ain't happening.
Live isn't as good in gameplay but it's far less annoying to play. 2K is legit frustrating to play because of how it's designed to make things take annoyingly long because of how greedy they are.
As primarily a pro-am player, this shyt is a chore to build up a proper player to compete. Live is so damn snappy

No lame cutscenes with Boo Boo or your wacky Asian roommates
