It seems that the home team gets it worse than away. That's been my main complaint about online because I'm being left open and watching the meter bounce into late shots. Frustrating as fukk

Nah, it's a legit fun game. I play mostly Live Run, challenges, etc and it's just lots of fun, especially on the court.
Got multiple characters too.

Why don't you go back into the NBA 2K18 thread to bytch with the rest of your friends about how the game sucks, won't buy next year and yet will pre-order the minute that launch trailer for the next one is out.

This is a serviceable basketball game I've enjoyed it for what it is

Been playing the past four hours. Game isn't bad but the playerbase is legit retarded/bad (if you pass the ball, you not getting it back). Inside players make the wildest shots and are extremely broken (as im typing this the nikka i was guarding just dunked on 3 people off the drive with me guarding him the whole way 
).
Despite that still having a lot of fun with the game. Got into a lobby where all my teammates swung the ball instead of driving and hoping for a dunk animation

I suck at this game. My player is at level 4. Crossing is hard. Playing d is hard. I play on superstar mode (I always play my games on difficult modes) how do you get RP to get shoes like Jordan 1 breds or max them out to 99 stats. I bought the game last Saturday so bare with me.

Do the pro am story first rather than heading straight to the league. That will help you build up your character. Just keep playing that until you unlock all the crates and you should be straight as far as your character rating. Probably another few weeks of playing the live events will have you maxed out as far as skills which should put you in the high 90's (I think like 95 or 96). There are some specialty attributes (I can't remember the name of those coins or medals you get) that you can also put that will help you get even higher with the right combination. My character is at a 98 right now. At those lower levels though, you have to play a little more conservative and more like you would do in real life. Can't do too much over the top stuff, positioning is important, making sure passes are thrown at the right time and place, etc.

I turned off the right analog shooting stick thing. It was annoying n jamming me up. Yeah that what I did. I'm at level 15 right now. But crossing is kinda hard to do so I'm gotta keep doing it. So you can't change jerseys in career mode?
