The sad part is @MeachTheMonster isn't trolling at all. He’s 100% convinced that Kinect and VR is the same exact experience.
There are few moments that reveal blind stannery as clearly as this.
Y’all the ones in denial.

Majority of the games made for it are waggle fest minigames, or small on rails “experiences” same as Kinect.

The “normal” games it’s been added to, it doesn’t change the gameplay in any meaningful way, it actual makes them strip out or nerf some of the gameplay so it works and people don’t get sick.

I understand VR adds to immersion and some of you may feel that immersion is worth the gameplay shortcomings. But that doesn’t change the facts of what’s going on there.

shoulda waited for the goats to drop first

Imagine Gran Turismo 7 fully playable in VR

that alone is worth the price of admission.

I've never seen someone with such a strong opinion on a piece of hardware they've never tried.

Ask anyone who has played a game in vr and none of them would them would ever say the shyt was just like the kinect. Anyone who's actually tried the shyt will tell you that wearing the headset is a vastly different experience than the janky mess that's shown on the TV screen. You can't just watch a YouTube video of someone playing vr and get an idea of what it's actually like.

I had the same opinion before I tried it myself, I watched a couple videos of people flailing around and wrote the shyt off as a gimmick like 3d gaming was. Then my wife bought it for me for Christmas and my opinion on vr changed because it was nothing like what i expected watching videos. That's how I know for a fact that he's never actually tried the shyt.

You’re literally making the same movements to play the games.
The same tech driving the Kinect is what’s used to make PSVR work.

The move controllers are even less accurate than Kinect hand tracking.

Those are facts. The original point of contention was gameplay innovation. Not how the games make you feel.

You can argue that with the helmet on they make you “feel” much different, but that doesn’t change the facts on the original point made.

With the overwhelming majority of games PSVR gameplay. The actual act of playing and interacting with the mechanics of the game is similar to Kinect. That’s a clear verifiable fact. :manny:

Right. You just said it in your own post

They were waggle fests but with the helmet on they make you “feel” different.

Ain’t here to argue about how you feel :manny:
No, I said that's what watching YouTube videos made It look like before actually playing it myself.

You in here telling me what vr is like without ever playing the shyt when I actually own one.

Clown shyt.

The movements are the same. That don’t change when you put the helmet on :mjlol:

Nah you made that up.

Flail around your room with a $400 helmet on brehs :mjlol:

Even with its limitations, PSVR is piff breh. Got me moving in superhot like I'm Neo. For two games, I have their regular versions and the vr versions. For driveclub, the whole game is vr and it's dope. For everybody golf, for the modes that are there, I prefer it to the regular version.

That said, I ain't paying 69.99 for some damn hot shots golf this gen Sony.
