Quick is no different than Ryan Miller before him other than the 1 cup....Few years of greatness and reverted back to the middle...
Ryan Miller can only hope he would ever have a playoff like Quick has the last years. Thats what separates good from great.

2 of my hawks buddies told me that he was outright horrible defensively in the first 20 games. thoughts ?

like I said, I think Keith is the best dman in the game and has been for a few years now, so you won't get any argument from me.
seabs always has stretches where his defense struggles

yeah he was shaky to start , he started slow last season too

maybe, if he tanks in the playoffs this year, then you might have a point. but i just dont see it. the guy is a fukkin wall in the offs.

last 2 playoffs:

1.86 gaa .934 save %
1.41 gaa .946 save %

those #s even hall of famers would kill to have.

so you expect me to think he's gonna tank in the playoffs this year ? reminds me of last year when he had an average regular season and went back to god mode in the offs.

Crawford had equal numbers to him last playoff and won,are we now arguing Crawford is in the goat discussion...

breh trust me
Breh no rookie drafted high gets thrown to the woodfire, bernier got 4 starts his rookie year, liek how many rookies get their under 9 games just for a little bit of nhl potential but 99% of players get sent back down to the minor.

I remember reading articles after articles and hearing rumors how quick was just a stop gap

its amazing how you ride quick so hard,w hen dude only had 1 good year out of 7. 1 season of a gaa average under 2.20, 1 season of a sv percentage of 91

and it amazes me that a goaltender who has put up back to back historical playoff performances i being slighted becuase of his regular season save %.

For a 3 year period Miller was considered best in the game...

but your buddy mitts was trying to discredit quick for only one playoff run. so, in theory, crawford would need to prove it again this year, no ? until then, he's just a fluke

but that's yalls theory, not mine.

no he wasnt. he was in the same level as brodeur, lundqvist, thomas. he was never above those guys.

During the time of the 2010 olympics Miller was the best and he was the reason USA had a shot at a medal...He was considered above Luongo.

antti niemi is a heckuva a goalie. i thought he was garbage when sj traded for him but almost out dueled quick in the 7th game last year.

and again, show me another playoff where crawford had similar #s to last year.

Felix Potvin, thats my mans :ehh:

Smith is a system goalie (product of Tippett). We'll see how well he does (if he has to play), but he will have a world class blueline in front of him to help.
