We'll see. I think St Louis should have been there.Toews is a top 15 scorer i believe and he was top 10 last couple years and was the playoff mvp last year and you think hes there for heart ???
St Louis omission is surprising only cuz Yzermans his GM(that'll be an awkward convo)
Thornton is good but hes a C and they took better Cs (Getzlaf,Crosby,Tavares are all better than Joe right now)

have you not been paying attention to the process ? Babcock wants 4 Left handed defenseman. Teams are only allowed to dress 7 dmen in games. Hamhuis most likely will never even dress.
St Louis and Logan Couture not making the team over Jeff Carter and Nash and Hamhuis making it are the surprises for me. Never expected Giroux to make it, Team Canada doesn't do undersized centers.
Bergeron's on the team because he can go out play 6-7 minutes a game including the penalty kill and win faceoffs, not a lot of high level guys can be effective playing such limited minutes not to mention his defensive responsibility. I don't see an issue bringing in a guy who skates well and provides Selke caliber defensive responsibility.
Kunitz obviously there for chemistry purposes but he's also very defensively responsible, another guy who can play a role on the PK. You can't just knock on the chemistry issue because it was a big deal in 2010 and you can't just say anyone will eat playing with Crosby because it didn't happen then, it didn't happen with a lot of guys in Pittsburgh and it even took Kunitz 2 years to get to this point where he's over a PPG player with him. Crosby is far and away the best hockey player on the planet, you do what it takes to have him as close to peak performance as possible
The forwards will be fine and should be more effective than 2010 just based on the addition of 2 legit scorers in Tavares and Stamkos, really the biggest point of regression for the team is not having the presence of Niedermayer or Pronger on the back end.
