Things got a little brighter breh. Rene Bourque has been sent to the AHL where he belongs. More playing time for Sekac. :blessed:

Sekac turned around the game in the Habs favour last saturday against Minnesota:ehh:. He should have been playing all season, but but but this fakkit Therrien preferred to play the dusty vet Bourque instead. :comeon:

10-4-1 its alright.

I don't follow every bit of the regular season as passionately as I should, because I can afford to. This team is getting better every season, so I can afford to care much less about the details of the season because I expect to see playoff games when April comes....seriously even the worst playoff game is as exciting as the best regular season game, the stakes are way bigger, the prize is way higher, you lose, out. intense get rich or die tryin type shyt. Playoff hockey is the best time in NHL.

like the Habs fans of the early 90s and before, the playoffs were a consistent formality for them, it was expected. Its been a while Habs fans felt like that, they do feel like that now. Since 1993, 22 years, the cup didnt come in Montreal and a entire generation of Habs fans never saw the Habs being contenders. I'm in that group, we are starved, and we are more than due. I dont want us to be like Leafs fans :damn::to::to::why::scusthov:

Because this team gets better every season. In 2013 Habs won the division and had #2 seed in east, next year 46 wins, 100 points, Eastern Conference Final. This year we are going to finish high in the standings and probably go farther than last year, or as far(ecf) But I'm watching Tampa Bay...with all their talent breaking out:krs:, they are definitely a team on the rise.:mjpls:
Boston remains solid but their windows has temporarily closed for 2-3 years. They will still make the playoffs on the regular but wont be a threat for 1-2 years imo, because they need some retooling on D (chara getting :flabbynsick:and lack legitimate top 6 players (iginla, seguin have left for eriksson :mjlol:)Their playoff mojo was destroyed by Subban, Eller, Weise and Price last year. :smugfavre:

I wish we had Guy Boucher instead of fakkit Therrien. Dude's so stubborn, always play lame ass vets and doesn't put Galchenyuk the opportunities and the position to succeed, like DD. Galchenyuk would beast up if he had the minutes, wingers, high offensive starts and powerplay time that DD currently enjoys.

Boucher is so smart when he describes hockey. He had a pretty good run with Tampa, they nearly made the finals with him, and they didnt have a D. They got that far because Boucher recognized the strength of his team, and used a system that fitted actually the makeup and talent of the team.

Therrien tries to turn the Habs team into grinders since last year :mjlol:

I know the Habs have a :mjpls: rule when it comes to strictly anglophone coaches, because they want to appease the separatist and nationalist french-canadian QuebeCACS fakkits. They are so insecure and annoying- even in Europe they just hire the best coach available because winning is top priority. Soccer management, media and fans prioritize winning championship over catering to nationalist/separatist sensibility :mjpls:. If they hire a anglo coach and they win, people will still go to games. The Habs are the only major sports team in this province, so they will always have huge interest. They are the yankees, lakers, cowboys and Manchester U of hockey. They will always get more fans, not less.

Habs are not a superelite team like 2001 colorado or 1976 canadiens that can afford some players to coast because of their dominance over the rest of the league, and because its fukking regular season. Bourque's a beast in playoffs, but as a rule, we need every one of our players to play well and contribute to the team with solid play and decisions. He should not be excused because of last year's postseason heroics.

 Islanders destroying the Avalanche 6-0

:patrice: are the Islanders that good or are the Avalanche not as good as last year :mjpls:.
Too early to say but avs have been surprisingly bad. Wouldnt be surprised they missed the playoffs.

Maybe stastny meant more to the team than previously thought. Iggy made a bad choice.

I think islanders will make the offs and get bounced first round. But def a team on the rise

Speaking of which, he's off to a slow start in St. Louis. You could say that for anyone not named Schwartz, Tarasenko, Lehtera and Shattenkirk. Pretty much getting carried by one line. If not for them we're easily sub .500. The rest of the offense is snakebitten.

It's still early thigh. Even if it's Buffalo, tonight was a good indication of what happens when the depth shows up (goals from Lindstrom, goal from Backes, assists from Steen).

All this without Oshie too. :sas1:

Oshie :ohlawd:

Blues have been my sleeper pick the last like 4 seasons but they never seem to be able to put it all together and make a deep playoff run.

All the analytics people are dancing on their graves. Because they saw this coming. Varlamov's numbers have been good this year but that doesn't matter when you're regularly letting the other squad double you up on shots.

That Avs D is :scust:.

Oh yea, if they had halfway decent D, they would've beaten the Wild in the playoffs maybe even given Chicago hell
