y'all nikkas realize it's not just a cd right??

the first one came with exclusive concert tickets too and some other shyt

i'm sure this comes with stuff too

and at the same time he's releasing just the music for free

be mad at rappers for thinking up new marketing ideas and making money while still giving you free music brehs
Maybe be honest this time and tell people there's gonna be XYZ with the purchase of the album and maybe surprise them with more.:yeshrug:. People like to know what there purchasing.

he did last time... he will this time.. it's not even ready or out yet.. he probably said this to get the blogs talking and build up buzz.. then they'll ask him.. then he'll answer closer to the actual release date

like i said, it's all marketing

if you know most your fans gonna steal it anyway.. why not say "hey fans i love you, here's a free album" (when really it's just a mixtape)

then box it up nice, throw in tickets and some more shyt then say "and for my die hards, come spend a day with me" or some shyt like that, for $1000

nikkas already bought that wu album for over $5 million... and then they also hit you with the regular wu album for regular fans

i'm not mad at rappers, who get fukked over by labels by the hour, are thinking up new ideas to put money in their pocket.. meanwhile the fans don't lose a thing, cause they still get the same music for free :whoo:

i mean what is there to actually complain about?

So many uninformed opinions.

- The album will be FREE on iTunes & his Proud 2 Pay venture
- $1K price tag is on the physical copies, only 1000 will be pressed
- Those who pay get to attend the Victory Lap listening session at a secret Marathon store that's opening on the day of the listening
- Crenshaw sold out, and would have come close to doing so without Jay's help. They actually pressed up more copies that got sold.

Yeah thats good way to look at it.

But 1000 dollars....? thats rent/mortgage for many people and judging by his fan base that's a lot for them.
I don't know if 1000 is marketable for his fan base. It's got to have a lot of shyt to come with it.
Beyonce and Jay-z front row tickets range near $1000 bucks so Idk :yeshrug:
