I still don't get all this love for Gravity. Great movie visually but other than the not worth much else.
I think it was such a cinematic achievement technically that Cuaron should be a lock for Best Director.
And Bullock did really good work when you consider she spent the majority of that film acting in a box all alone.

Man...woooh! These are some tough ones to call here! I don't know why, but I have this strange feeling that American Hustle may sweep the top categories. At the very least, I think that Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence will take home Oscars. I can see Cate Blanchett taking the Best Actress as she had a strong performance in Blue Jasmine. It just feels that American Hustle has gotten alot of love from movie critics and peers alike.

And we know "Frozen" got it on lock (woman hero, Disney singing) but I'm hoping for the best for Despicable Me 2.

No Tom Hank :leon:

Biggest surprise imo

American Hustle got far too many nods. Don't think it deserves the directing, editing or screenplay noms.

Kinda have too. He's been nominated twice, puts on great performances in drama and comedy, opens movies too. 22 Jump Street is going to have a big opening weekend
Imo at least 200 million for 22 jump street after its run. His rise was outrageous in a way. I really thought he would be the fat kid from superbad forever. Judd Apatow sure knows how to pick them.

I'm suprised James Gandolfini got nothing.

Tom Hanks is probably the biggest snub actually and that's going off of the buzz of his performance, the box office of the movie, the movie being nominated in other categories and of course he's Tom Hanks
