Multiverse shyt been goin on yeah but not this new plot of Flagg and them with the newly acquired portal, dimension hopping to find cures for cancer or whatever they said in the preview I forgot. That and Peacemaker in the clink is either supposed to get resolved in one episode or end on a cliffhanger wherein we have to wait months/years for the resolution.
I agree that Gunn dragged his feet on the story in the first few episodes. Episodes 3 & 4 should've been combined into one.
Episodes 4-8 should've been focused on the multiverse saga entirely. Also, runtime for each episode should've been extended by 10-15 minutes.

The episodes really do feel noticably short. Like they could have done just a little bit more each episode with an extra 10-15 minutes
