I only lived in Charlotte for a year, over a decade ago. But it was one of the best years of my young adulthood (I was 24-25 that year)...

I've now been in Raleigh 6 years, on the 23rd of this month...

I think there's something special about experiencing a city in its cultural ascent. It comes with the negatives you listed, but also many positives...

nikka you do know Dreamville ain't the only festival in The City, right? it's just the biggest, most popular music one in Carolina...

Damn….. I want lie…. I ain’t even know Dreamville was this weekend. I ain’t heard no one talk about it. 2 of my best friends live out and Raleigh-Durham (one in each) and neither of them been talking about it in the chat.

I mean not even complain about traffic or etc or nothing.

Your homies ain't gone complain about traffic because you not gone encounter it if you stay off 40 (where mf's driving in/out from), and away from Dix area (where the festival is) and Downtown (where mf's flooding in between sets at Dix). It's real easy to avoid the traffic that comes with this...

This shyt ain't facts City nikkas be chopping shyt in Durham if they want, but keeping it all the way real, it's more busted chicks in Durham than in Raleigh. So mf's not going to Durham unless they want to...

His caption say Durham go to every city and represent, it be more Raleigh nikkas on the road across the state than Durham nikkas. This nikka tripping ...

But I learned years ago there's a tradition here, the whole Raleigh/Durham rivalry goes back generations. City nikkas don't even be talking about Durham like that, though...

•NC State Fair, largest festival in NC, in like 2 weeks

And this is without the regular festivals, events and entertainment like Halloween parties, zombie walks, music venues, comedy tours, etc.

Pack basketball starts early November and the Lady Pack are #9 in the preseason AP. Lady Pack are one of the best programs in the country and starting to be recognized as such, been Sweet 16 or later 6 of the last 8 years.

Pack men's ball sucks now but mf's always show up for the men too.

Fall/winter/spring with Pack sports (football, basketball, baseball, soccer) + Canes + all the other events be having Raleigh up like a mf.
