I will say this, as someone mentioned, Sutter did a smart thing in killing Opie. As hard as it was, you feel Jax's pain. The only thing in the club keeping him human is gone. He could legit say fukk the club, be out for self. Get them out of trouble with the feds and bounce on them. The only other cat he got in there is Chibs, and Chibs already know what time it is.
