after watching got this week, it reminded me how spartacus even with its small ass budget blessed us with battles every week

They should had never included Caesar in the story. Have the same character but not named Caesar. Not only because he had no thing to do with the actual true Spartacus story but like you said, they could had a spin-off telling his story, Crassus, and Pompeii taking over Rome.
