If he was telling the truth about not being in on what Tomas and the lil gay nikka was planning, they put HIS life in danger too.

Not only that, but the lil nikka put his life in danger by pulling the alarm and having all those zombies go to the prison.

If you look past race and how they're both prisoners, it's an easy call to take him out over Rick. Gaining the leader's trust by taking out a loose cannon >>>>>>> buddying up with a prisoner who didn't have your best interests at heart anyway.

Well he was bit, what was he going to do? Cut his whole arm to the shoulder off with no blade and bandages?
