Amazon completely butchered two literary fantasy classics Wheel Of Time and Lord Of The Rings...
That's also true. They usually fail more than they succeed.
I'm praying that the Last of Us adaptation is going to be solid. A boatload of talent is involved including the original creator.

I got thru season 1 during the height of covid/lockdowns... i thought it was ok.
Waited damn near a year before i tried season 2... and couldn't make it past 3 eps before i was done.
The storytelling wasn't horrible (wasn't great either) but it was so obvious that the budget wasn't it for what this show was supposed to be.
An over-reliance on camera cuts in the monster fights bc they gotta be sparse on how long they keep the meter running on the dirt cheap looking cgi.

Ok, After panning this initially and quitting after season 1, I have decided to go back and give it another go. (I needed another series to watch)
I gotta say, I am enjoying this. Restarted everything from the beginning
I didn't think netflix was going to invest in this in this for the long run so why should I.

For me the best part about season 2 was some of the high-end action scenes. The story wasn't compelling. Those elves, his Witcher brotherhood brother guy, even the main villain. None of those aspects were compelling.
It also felt rushed.
Gonna treat this like a series finale. Liam hemsworth not a good casting. Plus the recasting in general just meants they are dedicate to diverging from the source material. so the further along this show goes, the more impact those changes will have until its unrecognizable even as fan fiction.
Man.... Who would of thought this production company would shyt the bed this badly. Get a huge IP and treat it like it's a CW+ Show with nobody writers that hate the source material.
