Check the crafting station, you may actually have one. Didnt realise I had one till I went there lol

Finally got one to drop in kips bay
I have then in the crafting area, but i have better stuff than what i can craft.

Deconstructing vs Selling
Which equipment is best
For example - I am a level 16 and had a blue body armor 101 arm. My health before being equipped was listed at 8,123. If equipped it showed in green that it jump up to 10604. I equip the armor and my health only goes up 51 points to 8,174. What?!?
Deconstruction vs selling - I have deconstructed all white items and pretty much all green. I just now started selling items because this was my deconstruction numbers
· Fabric - 232 green 5 blue
· Weapon Parts – 117 green 6 blue
· Tools - 58 green 9 blue
· Electronics – 47 green 23 blue
· Division Tech – 1 green 2 blue
I believe I have the icons correct. So it seems I have a lot of crafting material and spent the last few hours of game time yesterday selling and went from $15k in cash to $22k in cash. Just not sure if selling now should be the route or continue to deconstruct.
Any tips you guys can share with a guy with not much RPG experience would be greatly appreciated.
BTW I love this game. 1 day and 12 hours played so far.

I was in the dark zone on my solo shyt grinding blues and currency. Got an invite from some randoms, went to extraction, and started knocking nikkas off left and right
Eventually got swarmed by too many adds and other agents. You get caught out there while youre a max level rogue and the game body slams your exp and cash, almost got knocked backed 2 lvlsHad almost 5 minutes on my rogue counter, they put you clean out there.
I'm just trying to get to 30 so I can whack cats off trying to extract in the dark zone. Ima put together a crew just for this purpose
I had 4 dudes chase me all the way from DZ4 to DZ6....And when I crossed that border they did a U-turn. Extracted with NO issues
And if ya'll didn't know already...That flashbang sticky bomb is a lifesaver when it comes to enemies rushing you at an extraction.

DPS, at least how it's calculated in this game is very misleading. It's better to look at the bullet damage of each gun and it's rate of fire with its effective range to see how good it is.
As far as this game, you'll kill so many things it's a lot more beneficial to deconstruct everything for crafting materials because those are fairly hard to come by
As far as that thing with the armor, the equipment UI is sort of bugged sometimes when it shows increases in your skills.

Only cause DZ would've separated us we had a level 19 with usI was looking for yall yesterday

The way its calculated in this game is basically and estimate of the max damage the game thinks you can do based on the stats of the gear/weapon you have equipped. Its flawed because its also trying to calculate how many times youll miss shots when that portion is skill based.
Like @Tha Gawd Amen said focus on your base damage and things that modify that.
You want to deconstruct so that youll have a large stockpile of materials to craft high end items late game.
Attributes
Firearms 1% extra damage per point
Stamina 30 extra hp points per point
Electronics - 10 extra skill power per point
The game messes up sometimes so just know the calculation yourself so you know what should be happening.
Equipment is misleading. Don't focus on the rarity focus on what skills it supports and if its providing increases that support your role/playstyle.
Like earlier i was trying to get purple/superior gear. I finally found it. Then found a blue a few minutes later that was better.
I would also recommend checking out skill up, and arekkz gaming youtube channel.
They give some good info.

im only lvl 24 and gof chased by 3 dudes near a extraction point. i had some purple contaminated items on me so i had to get the fukk out.
i ran them nikkas into 3 yellow bar enemies in the subway, looped around back up top and back into the subway behind them, dropped my turret with extra damage and drank some water

Completing the side missions will get you several purple blueprints.
