Bungie made the drop rate like that on purpose to keep you coming back to try to get that one piece of gear/weapon simply because there is not a lot of content.They're doing this shyt right.
Hopefully Bungie takes note of this.

this is the drops from the mods.. i dont think he put up the DZ chest drop rates for yellow.
They have said vendors will not sell High end weapons i think you will get them from DZ chest, and once challenge mode comes out that is another way to get High end
