Even tho it was kinda made impossible with Pogi leads over Jonas and 3rd being nearly 10mins back. These Visma tactics needs a 2nd rider close to front on GC to really work. As we saw in LeTour 22. Vuelta 23 and the classics when WvA and Laporte would finish 1-2.

no tactics were gonna work because Pogacar is Ivan Drago status. But the optics are absolutely pathetic for Visma. As I said, whole team is like an abused wife with PTSD waiting for Pogacar to put his foot in their ass when they try to make a break.

I think it's really nice but maybe just do 2 laps and then a couple of Champs Elysees laps after. This course only favor punchers but with less Montmartre laps and more Champs ones, it will even things out and give both punchers and sprinters a chance.

I didn’t watch it so I don’t know if Jonas looked great or not.

Pogacar didn’t race this one.

I suppose Visma needed this as a team. I’m just not sure this signifies any optimism for 2026.

I watched some of it and he did the minimum to win. UAE had some internal fukkery which helped Visma but this year Jonas wasn't really at his 2022-2023 level.

During the Tour they said he had focused more on explosiveness because that was where Pogi was best at but doing so he probably lowered his long climbing abilities. We'll see next year.
