I think it's a breakaway day today.

After a rest day and Tomorrow (High altitude over 2000m and summit finish) and Thursday (Alpe d'huez) stages are brutal so the GC contenders will be resting as much as they can for todays stage.

From Bradley Wiggins who is doing a report from the side of the road by the protesters. Said a couple of the DS's got out of the car and kicked a couple of the protesters. :laff:

The unpredictability is one of these things that make the TDF great. I remember reading a book about Hinault. There was a protest back in the 80s that was blocking the route. Hinault got off the bike had a punch up with a few guys in the protest and bounced.
