Americans have a myopic view of the world. Though I hardly think China is a "fair" player they are basically doing what other countries (US included) did 100 years ago. People are real mum about those German patents we stole after WWI.
Anyway, most Americans don't remember the 90s but China remembers the devastation the Plaza Accords wreaked on Japan's economy and Asia as a whole remembers the humiliation of the 97 currency crisis when the IMF and Larry Summers told them not to bail out their banks....and then in 2008 we promptly bail out our banks. They are biding time to pull our ho card, unfortunately. I don't want to see America go down but we need to be honest and say we do what we want, not have faux moral outrage.
