I had Thomson winning but it was really a tossup, only real decisive round was the 3rd to Benson.

It was a really close fight, I thought Thomson won the grappling exchanges. Benson won the striking, but could have been more active in that area. Too bad Thomson hurt his hand during the fight.

Benson will always win these close decisions, even if he doesn't deserve it, but this fight was just whatever imo. He's starting to become a Black Leonard Garcia with somehow always winning these decisions.

Hes always been hit or miss in fights. He would have a great war witn Gil and then put on a snoozefest with KJ Noons. Thats why I said hes not an elite fighter. Both guys were fighting tentatively because Thomson wanted to keep his title shot and Bendo wanted to point fight his way back to the winning track. Recipe for a dull fight. But this fight was more an indictment on Bendo than anything
