It would be an interesting hiring process; there's no "keep it in the family" prospect out there, since I don't see Jerry Stackhouse or Wes Miller being attractive at this point. This would be the time to break away from all of that, especially with the way the landscape in college athletics has changed.

Man I honestly wouldnt mind nabbing Tony Bennett or Jay Wright out of retirement. I want to hire a proven winner like when we hired Roy. Obviously Roy was Carolina family, but I think we need to move on from that.

tony Bennett would not work at all. That slow as molasses offense would not be received well on the recruiting trail. Plus, I think he got out for the same reason that Jay Wright did; he saw the writing on the wall and decided that this new landscape was not for him.

Tony Bennett's style of play wouldn't attract UNC caliber recruits, Jay Wright would be a grand slam, but he's not even doing television anymore, which is far less demanding than being a HC.

Make Dusty May the highest paid coach in CBB...once Pope is inevitably fired, UK is going to try him or Golden

Tony proved he didnt need 5 star recruits to win a title. Came in when Roy and Coach K were getting great one and done talent and still won the acc plenty of times.


Tony not coming out of retirement though.
