The media isn’t saying it because the media is complicit. They want a war for clicks but it’s clear the reason this cease fire isn’t going no where is Trump doesn’t want to give them what they want.
The US offer is Israel stops bombing Lebanon, they release (pay) $20 billion. Keep in mind Israel stole more land from Lebanon.
For that Iran gives up all its nuclear material and everything goes back to normal.
It’s not Iran’s demands it’s what Trump wants. He refuses to admit he loss and he doesn’t want to get into a ground war because Iran will do the US what Ukraine ks doing to Russia.
Also Trump has no good options. He can’t just quit, he can’t put boots on the ground, he can’t negotiate agreement that is too similar to Obama

His numbers are dropping.
Prices are going up. He’s enriching his friends.
His cabinet and appointees are cracking under any small amount of pressure.
He’s dismantling government. Republicans are letting him operate as a dictator.
All things that people were told were going to happen.
But the thing that stings the most for him and his ilk is the facade of being a great businessman that makes incredible deals fell apart because he got played on multiple levels and his ego won’t allow him to save even a small bit of face. It’s legit the only thing he has left, attempting to be a wartime president that sits at odds with everything he stood for. Against an opponent that doesn’t allow him to breathe with an ally that doesn’t allow for him to find an off-ramp.
All he had to do was JCPOA 2: Trump’s HUGELY SUCCESSFUL NEGOTIATION, and he can’t. It’s why they keep attempting this small/medium stuff to bully Iran back to his terms (which has to be way better than Obama’s deal) and he can’t. This isn’t some bank that wants recoup SOME of their money. This is a regime that cares nothing for his optics and his ego.
It’s by far the biggest crack, and with the other stuff stacked on top…… he NEEDS this win. Iran knows this. And they will ruin him because of it.
He has finally created a mess that he can't just walk away from without any accountability.
Iran has already lost so much, and it is not going to suddenly capitulate because of one more threat from Trump. Iran has little left to lose and nothing to gain by giving Trump the kind of deal he wants (and could have gotten before he started this stupid war).
And the crazy thing is time is running out fast. This is not the kind of situation where you can just kick the can down the road. After a certain amount of time has passed, a worldwide economic crisis will be irreversible. We might have already passed that point, but nobody will believe it until the crisis really kicks in.

It’s already past that point. The economic crisis is already forming right in front of eyes. The only way the entire world would have been able to reverse it would be to hold some type of snap election here in the US about 2-3 weeks ago and clean house.
We can’t. So, this summer the rest of world will suffer greatly. And because of all the damage this administration has caused domestically, it’s going to be one of the worst summers in America history. Even with a deal today, the downturn is already in motion. It’s all the stuff before. The threats. Tariffs. DOGE. Tax cuts for the rich. The over-investment in AI.
Midterms mean nothing in the grand scheme of things except to stop further damage.
IMO, A lot of Americans need to feel the stove give them 3rd degree burns. They begged for this. I just hate the rest of us have to suffer too.

The most ironic part of this is before he started they offered him the deal that was better than Obama’s and he went and killed their leader.
The dumb disrespectful motherfukker has spit in their face multiple times and is in a situation where low-key at this point I think the strait stays close and maybe Iran doesn't bomb their neighbors is the best Trump can hope for. Iran runs the region but the US basically poisons the well so Iran can't make money from running the region.
Iran not bombing their neighbors and the US does a blockage outside the blockade.
Basically the strait is a DMZ
