How can anyone argue with Porter being picked @ 3? Washington hasn't had a legit 3, let alone frontcourt since Howard, webber, and big George. Porter can shoot, pass, create, and defend. And he's 6'10/6'11...that's a steal.

Butler, and Jamison wer decent for a few years, but this is Ernie's chance add a dynamic young player to grow with Wall and Beal.

Please don't screw this up Ernie.. Please.

We do have Ariza and they will try to retain Webster but I'd love Porter because he'd be the long term solution. Webster would also play backup SG behind Beal.

Only thing we'd need is a backup PG and a young big to develop since Seraphin has disappointed.

I take Florida and get to West Virginia then Bladensburg Road

Max 30-35 minutes with limited traffic

with traffic, easily 40-45

And Bennett is a tweener, you don't take guys like him at the top of the draft
You added 10min for traffic when traffic can EASILY add an hour to those plans
I've spent damn near 20min just on that bridge with all the artwork on it before. Then the drive once you on the Hwy part of rt.50 to Bowie is like a 20min drive (no traffic) but yeah, we both right and wrong :manny:

As for Bennett, I don't like how you guys are throwing around the term "tweener" It just seems like something you heard someone on CSN say and it has stuck. Other players who were considered "tweeners"

Charles Barkley
Paul Pierce
Michael Jordan
Magic Johnson
Gilbert Arenas
Carmelo Anthony
Nene
Chris Singleton
(How about Otto Porter, he not bulky enough to be a PF, slower than the avg NBA SF)

Minus the last two, I'd say those tweeners made decent names for themselves :manny:
(Miami heat just won back to back titles with a positionless philosophy)

Wiz kids will def have a playoff shot next year, if this draft is a success.
They will make the playoffs THIS YEAR if they didn't have a draft pick :pacspit:
If the majority is healthy? Wall year 4, Beal yr.2, Nene healthy for 50gms instead of 20+, Okafor comfortable knowing his role for a full season, the other youngs finally showing their worth by not being as injured as the established players. Yeah, I like what we have already.
We do have Ariza and they will try to retain Webster but I'd love Porter because he'd be the long term solution. Webster would also play backup SG behind Beal.

Seraphin has not disappointed. He didn't take a full next step last season, but he didn't regress either. He was injured like everyone else was. He came in and established that he has an inside game, a hook shot. A mid range jumper. He very well can be a BEAST this upcoming season. NO reason for you to act like he showed you NOTHING like C.Singleton/Booker/Vesely... hes done enough to earn a "little" respect. Enough to not be written off. You blame players when its a lack of coaching. Its not even Ernie Grunsfeld fault. Flip didn't work out, Randy seems decent. But the Wiz have forever lacked a good coach for the bigs. Randy is on the clock...

As for the pick we have, I'm more intrigued about who our 2nd pick will be.
You guys need to realize that is what will drive our first pick. Who they believe will still be available when we pick again. I keep hearing Peyton Siva's name. Would he still be there top of rd.2?

Well you tell me if this sounds "crazy" to you.

This fanbase (you included) for the most part has no idea what they are talking about. You guys bytch and complain about Ernie like if there was all these wonderful picks YOU would of taken instead of the ones we did :stopitslime:

Everyone was on Chris Singleton's Nuts, we draft him. He has a really good rookie season. He was held out last year because they was about to trade him for Rudy Gay.. as soon as that trade broke down, he was back in the lineup. His rhythm was off, and most of you have already said he's a bust :wtf:

Jan Vesely.. had a decent Rookie year. Showcased how he could be that Air Euro Griffin and was a decent defender. We knew he was a project, we know it'll take some time. Last year he played in a handful of games and already hes the worst pick since Kwame Brown :what:

The truth is, it don't matter who we pick. Cuz we don't spend anytime trying to develop ANYBODY. You clowns was happy that we traded Gilbert for Rashard Lewis :dwillhuh: What is are weakest areas? Back up fukking point guard and backup center. We got 4/5 nikkaz that can play PF on this team. We had AJ Price and WORSE starting while Wall was hurt. Gilbert would of stabilized the backcourt and he would of been that veteren leader Wall would of learned from. It wouldn't of taken Wall 3yrs to learn to slow down.

Back to the coaching, Why the fukk would Otto Porter succeed here if Chris Singleton who is this defensive BEAST (out of college supposedly) can't crack the rotation? (easier I believe for defensive players to catch on imo) He ain't sorry, and when he was a regular he was more than decent offensively. Just not aggressive enough but it was his rookie fukking season. And that goes for all our players. Trevor Booker is Charles Barkley 2.0 if given the chance and if he can stay healthy.

We need to stop thinking some college kid who had a nice 15game stretch is gonna come in here and show NBA players how its done. Thats what coaches are for. I look at San Antonio, we are way more talented than they are up and down the roster. Our problem is coaching. Its not Ernie, Its not who we DON'T pick. It wasn't even Kwame Brown.

You agree with me, but your post with the Iraqi nikka was shytting on what you agree with :lupe:

Anywayz, I'm not MAD at Otto Porter. If he can be an offensive weapon for us then cool. I just feel that our SF position wasn't a need. Now if we can get Siva in the 2nd rd?

WE BRINGIN' BACK OUT DA SHIRTS!!! :krs:
