Porter is a solid pick that everyone seen coming...I don't see him being a superstar but he will bring instant stability as a glue guy who can do a little bit of everything.....main impact as a versatile perimeter defender which the wiz desperately need...he just needs to continue to get stronger..

Singleton wasn't a good offensive player in college.

Porter is so much better offensively. Check the numbers.
Singleton was asked to be offensive force in FSU, but WAS a beast when called upon. He improved his offensive game since he's been in the league. You seen that his rookie year. He hardly played last season. I know Otto is more prolific coming out of college but Otto was on who's radar one year ago?
He had a great year at G.Town, but I watched as that nikka disappeared during the Big East Tourney and again in the NCAA's so I don't see how this dude gonna come in and be better than people who are already here to do the same thing.
He can play PF at times, but he's way too skinny for that. And we don't need another SF. Ariza, Webster, Singleton. If he overachieves its a good pick, or if we start moving other players. But I'll continue in a moment...
I agree, I really wanted McLemore, had the gif ready and everythin', but fukk it, the team gotta better reboundin' Kyle Korver :yeshrug: glass is hal-full
Kyle Korver :dwillhuh:
Look bruh, thats your opinion. On TV someguy says "His game is Tyshaun Prince" and now its getting repeated on this website :snoop:
The nikkaz game ain't that either. It could develop into that, but thats a low ceiling :patrice:
I'd say his game is more like... a young scottie pippen. IF I had to compare him to somebody today? Maybe an Illiesova type if we LUCKY
We have Jan Vesley on the roster. Porter is better.:troll:
Jan might end up getting more playing time  He's gonna put in the work this offseason or he wont be in the league much longer. He'll do that, its up to the coaches if they develop and utilize our pieces correctly
The Wizards will be fine with Porter. It was a good pick, they already had Bradley Beal they didn't need another 2 guard.

We thin at backup 1/2/5. 1/5 being the thinnest. We played Webster at the 2/3 but 3 was the better spot for him, especially if we wanna start him and Beal. Ariza is a 3 that can play 2-4. Singleton is a 3 that can play 4. Booker is a 4 that can play 3. The ONE spot we didn't need was the 3 imo...
Porter is a solid pick that everyone seen coming...I don't see him being a superstar but he will bring instant stability as a glue guy who can do a little bit of everything.....main impact as a versatile perimeter defender which the wiz desperately need...he just needs to continue to get stronger..
The Wiz ended up as the 5th best defensive team and half the year we played with D-leaguers and bench players. Otto isn't this above average perimeter defender either, not sure where you guys getting this from. Georgetown ran mostly zones bruh. Scouts say hes slow in that department so :shaq2:

Only thing Wizards NEED is a backup PG and a backup C/PF combo if possible.
Siva is coming :blessed: We still need a Big. I'm open for Kwame Brown coming off the bench :to:

Good value :blessed: Glenn Rice was the MVP of the D-League finals averaging 29 PPG, 11 REB, 4 AST, 3 STL, 4 Blocks

We still need a backup big. I liked Muscala... but he's soft.

IMO, what we needed in this draft was OFFENSE, to take a chance on a high-ceiling player, a player that performed particularly well in any one area, not a jack-of-all-trades type, let alone dratfin' for NEED @ an already crowded position, instead of bpa. I know I was against this until @SofaRealDoe insighted me, but Bennett would've actually been a great fit; we have no floor spacing in the frontcourt, Hilario's health and consistency is unreliable. McLemore was the most talented player in the draft, he could've anchored the bench, given us that prolific scorer.

He was MVP of the Finals and averaged 29 and 11... he can play

I rather move on from price. Rice can play the 2 although better at the 3

20130123_kdl_ai4_078.0_standard_352.0.jpg
The Lineups should be like this...

Starters
  • 2nd Team

Wall
  • Please God Somebody (This second team defense could make AJ Price doable)
Beal
  • Glen Robanick Jrz
Webster
  • Porter (Ariza splits time in all 3 spots)
Nene
  • Singleton (Booker will battle for the backup)
Okafor
  • Seraphin (Vesely as 3rd)

He's gonna be that Oladipo replacement to run the 2nd team. Basically that nikka is gonna be just like his daddy. We gonna let him and Otto run that 2nd unit and everythangs gone be everythang :lawd:

Dis nikka Glen Rice Jr. Looking like the best player to ever touch a basketball right now :ahh:

:ehh: He's another head-case, that averaged 14 & 6 over a larger sample size. We'll see how he turns out tho

:ehh: Horrible floor spacing, with no real backup floor general, and a 6-8 backup center, and D.C. rush hour traffic @ the 3, :ehh: good job, good effort

O yea no doubt but I don't get fooled by stats I go by what I see and they got a long way to go defensively......as for porter they said the same shyt about deng coming out who was a hybrid forward in college and he's turned out alright...then again gtowns system does a good job of hiding players flaws

Man, I'm hopin' we Ginobili this shyt and luck out w/ a quality role player. :lupe: and what will be done with Webster?
baseball_fan_02.gif
I heard an interview w/Witt after the Porter pick on WTEM and they asked him about Webster. He basically seemed :manny:. Called him a good player, nice fit, etc. and that they'd "look into" keeping him. Didn't really sound too enthused.

Given that, and being that we've got 2 new wings coming in, I'd probably lean toward Web not coming back.
