I definitely don't get not playing tonight as opposed to yesterday unless Ion's stubbornly insisting on Friday (and they probably don't think they people who would watch a WNBA doubleheader would watch the Finals, to which I say, they gotta consider that part of the schedule at least til the Finals are over)

Depends on how these venues are scheduled. Does the WNBA get priority or does it depend on who the owner is and if they run the arena? I guess they don't want to spread too many games out either.

I just wanna know why people keep saying this? As if she's playing against nothing but freshmen. Freshmen don't even get tick like that unless they're good. UConn had a freshman phenom on the team this year that was beasting on upperclassmen. Paige was a freshman phenom herself who won NPOY and got to the Final Four.

I dunno. It just depends how they want to correlate the schedule such as grouping teams together on one night. I don't agree with it but if they don't get priority over say a concert or other event like the NBA might then it explains the way the schedule works. The league wasn't a money maker in every market so maybe they get bumped. They play a whole season over like 3 months so it gets pretty tight too.

So maybe the easiest way is to have the most teams on a night were the league can operate in full compared to the NBA where they can go 7 days a week.

to their credit, the WNBA schedule is done in advance. The finals is not the same time every year. Sometimes it's earlier, sometimes it's later, but we know it's in June. We just never know the dates due to the previous series may end sooner or later

That Chip was earned. We weren't even a 1-seed.
We got hit with the injury bug 3 yrs straight. If it wasn't for injury, Paige has at least 2 rings.
She missed major portions of 2 seasons, not one.
If Stabler stayed a 5th yr, she still wasn't winning the chip.
I'll take freshman Sarah Strong & any version of Paige over Stabler any day
South Carolina had 3 draft picks and 10+ all Americans & it was an easy chip
