They play in bad markets. At least Reese and Paige do.
Wdym about markets? Reese and Paige play in top tier markets. Their teams don't have an NBA connection tho and are poorly run but that's not their fault.

Dallas plays in a 7,000 seat arena and Chicago practices at a rec center which means they don't even have their own practice facility.
New York, Seattle, hell even Golden State have better markets for WNBA basketball. Dallas has never won a time. And the sad part is Chicago won a title in 2021. Then let their best player leave after they decided to blow the team up. They let Kahleah Cooper leave right before they drafted Reese.
Chicago is getting a new practice facility. And the Wings are supposed to be getting a new practice facility soon as well as move to a new arena after. If the ticket demand was there they could probably play more games at United Center and American Airlines respectively.

Don't confuse team ownership with the markets the teams play in. Dallas and Chicago are excellent sports markets. They're just being let down by the poor decisions of team ownership.
It's Aja vs AT now. Can't miss damn near an entire month of play and still maintain your spot as the MVP frontrunner. Phee gotta come back averaging 30 & 10 to get back in.
