Overseas leagues are just money endeavors for rich oligarchs and state sponsored sports programs. They're not held to the same standard. Unrivaled isn't really either. They got a bunch of investors to put money into a 3x3 league under one roof.
The problem right now is the league is not making a profit and is owned by multiple entities. But we also can't see the books to know the full story.
People cite the recent evaluations for these franchises and prices to get into expansion. But that is all based on the future money the league will bring in, maybe. If they have that kinda money to allow true revenue sharing right now I doubt it.
I think the players need to take the deal that quadruples their salaries and possibly see if they can get 30% on revenue. And force the league to pay for better refereeing. Just my two cents on this for now.
