Azzi is light years better than Liv as an on ball defender

Ppl don't take the UConn system into account...no one in the program averages 25 bc that's not how they're coached to win

If Azzi played for FSU and had a green light, you don't think she avgs 25 like Latson did

Azzi doesn't need the ball to put fear in you

And what no one takes into account is that G play in the W is trash...that's why Paige came in as a natural SG & was far & away the best PG her rookie yr

Azzi will need that pump fake, 1-2 dribble pull up to make teams pay for pushing on the 3-pt line...she'll need to keep improving her handle...she'll need to iso a tad more...but I'm not counting out continued growth & development from her
I can't agree with that at all. She's light-years better at getting steals, maybe. I have my doubts with both for their on-ball defense due to athleticism concerns. I do like Azzi's defensive play strength.

Every one of these big-time programs has a scheme that impacts individual scoring. I don't know if that held back Azzi as much, though. She was fully featured this year.

I don't believe that she would have been anywhere near as good in that role. I've seen Doogan's have 3.9 turnovers a game due to being a role she's not equipped for. How UConn used her was perfect

No one said that she doesn't put fear in anyone. She has a world-class skill set with her movement and shooting.

Guard play in the W isn't trash. There is no position that's trash due to there being way too few teams for the bulk of talent we currently have.

I don't have any doubt that should would make improvement, I just don't know if it's going to be ample given time. She has some physical barriers and let's not act like she didn't have major injuries in college.

If you watched Azzi, then you know her on ball defense was elite this season...idc about the stocks (elite btw), I'm talking about her contesting shots, crowding shooters, being in position, rotating quickly when needed, and playing bigger than her height against taller SFs.

We'll see how she fares in the W but I compare her to Klay and Ray bc of the on ball defensive abilities...when she hits a W weight room, it's over

College basketball is NOT the WNBA. You can overly play team defense and play for steals when you got a great cast around you and 80% of the teams you play lack pros.

She's good at many of those elements especially for college. Laterally, she's mid. When she plays against other pros, the defense just doesn't look good. Being a good defender in college is a lot different than the WNBA or NBA for men. Physical attributes matter.

Man, if she's anything like Ray, I'll give you all the props in the world.

That's honestly the best play. Give her five years and she could be something real special.
