That's because you're a guy.. Pretty sure Hpv isn't detectable in men. Hence why so many men pass it off to women without them even knowing.
I forget the exact stat but chances are if you're sexually active and have had more than a handful of partners, you probably have Hpv..
He probably was in denial the whole time and just kept living his life trying to ignore the fact that he had it. He's probably now in the full blown AIDS stage which is usually when your health rapidly deteriorates. An awful way to go out. That type of thinking isn't rare for people who get HIV.
