Nah, Grimer/Muk was the product of all the people's trash and pollution.

They came thru and shut down a whole city when they took over that power plant.

You can clearly see the lazy and alternate design style after Mew @ 151. I never played anything beyond Yellow until the remakes of Red and blue in FireRed/LeafGreen.

It just didn't feel the same. I can't pinpoint a description other than I am more annoyed with the look and the cheapness of the Second Generation onward. First Generation is and will forever be the GOAT.

Some I can name off the top of my head: Ho-oh, Marill, lugia, that pink dog one, togepi etc. It's gen 3 onward where it all went to shyt and they started looking like digimon.

Breh this was like in the second grade, I believe. The one asian friend we had was telling us theres also a pikared, and pikagreen, and he had the cards of them that he got exclusively from japan, had us all like

Even Gen II is peppered with it. Looking into it more things became alot more "slick" and futuristic looking with no real reason to make them so. They just didn't walk the fine line well enough.

Take Zubat for instance. Evolved into Zubat. Visually, it looks correct. Then they go throw the wrench in the gears and release Crobat, who looks very artificial and unnatural.

Umbreon, the 4th evolutionary counterpart of Eevee looks horrible as well. It's got those strange markings on it that took away from the simplicity that commented it's other evolutions. Leafeon is totally awful too, very overdone with the sharp edges. It just makes it seem like it was built in a lab and not something you'd see in the wild.

And yes, I know they were made around the same time. That's why Generation I has all the good Pokemon. Release the best, first.
