But he aint the best. why? because whatever he has done has already been done before. his style, how he speaks about life.even his candence has all been done before. he's not more lyrical than a Jay, Nas, a Blackthought, he doesnt have more content, he doesnt have better songs than Jay or Nas' biggest hits. a couple may be on par...maybe. but not better.

Its like saying Chris brown is bigger than M.jackson. no..he aint. and their may never be anyone bigger than Mjack. because of that insane impact, and insane amount of hits.with his talent, etc.

In terms of impact,technique,sales,longevity,what are we talking about? The variables are so important that it makes for an impossible discussion to come to terms with.I like Cole but going by my variables he has some catching up to do,but i can see where the kids are coming from.

I mean LL held up our most well known rap label on his back at 16 and 17 yrs old. and rapped and sold records like crazy with hits for decades. the way these young boys are doing it these days. I'm an old head but I don't have an opinion in defense of either. I'm a fan of Both but there are a lot of things about each that I really don't like so I guess I'm about as neutral as you can get in this debate...

My question is...why even compare the two? they are very different both musically and their style of rap. Plus Cole has obvious influences from Jay so why is this a rational comparison other than the fact that they are both rappers whose names start with a "J"?
