Damn, what if folks go light on the deadlift and squats, and more reps instead? Still not worth it? I like it for posture.

Injuries happen but most people don’t have good form nor really train the lift. It is a movement not just simply picking something up or putting it on your back.

No, there is difference between fitness, and body building.
Difference between Rocky Balboa in his prime, vs Ronnie Coleman is his prime.
Being built like Mr Olympia isn't natural or healthy. Nobody wants the life expectancy of a 90s WWF star

But if you lift and build muscle that is still good.

yeah you can still lift heavy, if you lift for performance and not for bulking

combo of stretching, running, lifting and mixing things like jump rope pull ups etc something different everyday/week is healthy

body builders is more of an art form. That doesn't mean they are in tip top shape as they can not run up the stairs or stretch enough to scratch thier back.

Stuff like this is why I'm hopeful for AI in medicine. Back surgeries are probably the most depressing surgeries because they just prolong the inevitable rather than restore or optimize

Modern era body builders have a higher mortality rate than the average human.

But previous era body builders had a longer life expectancy than the average human.

It's called the Golden Paradox.

Modern era has extrem over training and steroid use, also use of supplement that conflict with each other and cause organ and other issues.

Training like the old era as a body builder was best.
