Now I just stick to the leg press and extension machines.

Modern era body builders have a higher mortality rate than the average human.
But previous era body builders had a longer life expectancy than the average human.
It's called the Golden Paradox.
Modern era has extrem over training and steroid use, also use of supplement that conflict with each other and cause organ and other issues.
Training like the old era as a body builder was best.
Stuff like this is why I'm hopeful for AI in medicine. Back surgeries are probably the most depressing surgeries because they just prolong the inevitable rather than restore or optimize
