But you can teach your child black history too. I saw my child social studies/history books and saw that it was less stuff in there about black culture than when I was in school! So on Sat/Sun me and her do about 1-3 hrs on black history. We'll read it together then I'll ask her questions about what she gained from it. How does it make her feel. Is it relevant to her today. I'll answer them too as well but I want her to think about it and get the perspective. Kids these days don't care about it because there parents aren't teaching them or don't show interest in it. Kids are a mirror of us. So they'll emulate what we do.
