and here's the kicker, kurt cobain did what young thug is doing - just putting words together that don't make sense but they fit the music perfectly. in HIP HOP this was a no-no before this generation.

Thing is... a lot of people now realise that they are intellectually smarter than 95% of rappers. Including the "smart" ones. A great song with storytelling is great but it's still about being a great song. I like the content of Killer Mike but moreover... Killer Mike really be rapping his ass off, I love his delivery and flows. I love how Mos recounts the way James Brown & Nina Simone are Rock n Roll but I just love the hip hop touch of Soul on that song. Michael Jackson most loved album aint a damn thing educated about it.

But I let people cook. Like whatever you like. But I cringe hard at what some people consider sophistication.
