Shyt I'm hating on that shyt and I purchased his first two albums! That shyt was unbumpable!

If he stayed just a battle rapper where all he had to do was basically crack jokes on his opponent and himself...yeah I could stomach his bullshyt. But making songs who's content include trailer park cac shyt....FOH!
One of the biggest misconceptions about Em is that he raps about nothing but goofy white people shyt. You mean to tell me you can't relate to or bump songs like We As Americans, Soldier, Mosh, Til I Collapse, Square Dance, Lose Yourself, Love Me, Go to Sleep, Drug Ballad, Rock Bottom, or If I Had? And you definitely can't say the skill he displayed on those songs wasn't amazing. And there's countless more where those came from too. You're just blind hating.

Eminem's production, back in is prime, was mostly minimalism--his beats basically highlighted his delivery and lyrics. This isn't a style you bump in the whip -- it's more self reflection/ introspection, comedy, with shock value. I'm not even an eminem fan like that--he's fallen from my top 10 over the years, but I respect his talent and impact on the culture.

I get the feeling this thread isn't about exposing eminem though, as much as it is feeding a lonely old man attention he clearly isn't getting somewhere in life.

I have no respect for somebody who 1. can't acknowledge the talent (in spite of race), and 2. thinks hip hop is black music.

hip hop is art, culture. it's the manifestation of 4 pillars. it's what people who grew up in projects, in poverty, in crime used as an outlet ... having broke or non-existent parents, slanging/smoking, drinking 8 balls, break dancing on a card board, and fukking around in the hood is something that all races can attest to.

get the fukk out of here with that racist shyt disguised as legit criticism.

He's had ZERO impact with black people is the issue.

As has been stated, yeah he can rap, but he isn't saying any relatable to black people shyt.

Fool hip hop is black music...though it is being enjoyed by a wider variety of races NOW. I was THERE in the days when it started and these same OTHER people who grew up in poverty avoided hip hop. They didn't jump on the bandwagon for the most part until much later.

Also, there are white rappers I like (Mighty Mi, Action Bronson, even El from Funcrusher). They do hip hop the correct way with the relatable content. They also don't sound like they have a pair of baby nuts!

Every black man I know can relate to hip hop topics (eminem topics):
  • Being broke, having broke parents, not having parents -- and the fukked up environments/situations you grow up in as a result.
  • Being pre-judged, discriminated against
  • Struggle, crime, fear
  • Not giving a fukk, retaliating
These aren't black man topics, they are hip hop topics. Hip hop isn't about race, it's about where you come from environmentally, socially, economically.

You need to listen to Eminem records like: Rock Bottom, If I Had, Sing For The Moment, the entire 8 mile OST, and countless other verses in Eminem's catalog before he blew up and became another out of touch MC.

I just have a problem with people calling him the GOAT, Em is the 2nd most overrated rapper ever next to Pac.

Em has skills, his first album is a classic and he was spitting on it no question. After that though his image and subject matter just started to rub me the wrong way and his dikkriders just got way outta hand.

Also, for someone who is heralded as one of the best battlers ever, who has he really went to toe to toe with? Ja Rule? Cage? Benzino? :childplease: The same people who dikkride Em and call him the GOAT will shyt on someone like Cam who went to war on record with Jay, Nas, 50....Em can't claim to have those kind of accolades.

Another reason I can't really fukk with him like that is because of all these overnight hip-hop "fans" his stardom produced. People who never bought a rap record in their life all of a sudden bumping Eminem because he's white? :scusthov: Even now you got these fakkits who are like "I don't listen to rap but I like Eminem." It's not Em's fault but I'm sorry, I can't fukk with his music because of shyt like that. I just can't.

White people support their own though. What other washed up rapper could just come back out and have people fiendin to cop his shyt the day it drops? shyt is crazy.
