that boy did not get his style from no damm young zee what the fukk is u smoking

eminem style is made up of three emcee's g rap redman and lord finesse that's it.

Em used to fukk with the outsidaz heavy though, he even shouted them out on his first album. His style was definitely influenced by them, and they are Redman's peoples.

Lord Finesse? LOL, fukk outta here.

Every black man I know can relate to hip hop topics (eminem topics):
  • Being broke, having broke parents, not having parents -- and the fukked up environments/situations you grow up in as a result.
  • Being pre-judged, discriminated against
  • Struggle, crime, fear
  • Not giving a fukk, retaliating
These aren't black man topics, they are hip hop topics. Hip hop isn't about race, it's about where you come from environmentally, socially, economically.

You need to listen to Eminem records like: Rock Bottom, If I Had, Sing For The Moment, the entire 8 mile OST, and countless other verses in Eminem's catalog before he blew up and became another out of touch MC.

Hip-Hop is black music that is based on the black experience in America which is unique, how is it "not about race?" This is part of the reason why Eminem's rise was so damaging, it helped give birth to opinions like yours. All that "hip-hop is universal" shyt is for the birds. I'm not black and I'm not white, but that's just a fact...Hip-Hop IS a "black thing" at its root. I question the motives of anyone who disagrees.

I just have a problem with people calling him the GOAT, Em is the 2nd most overrated rapper ever next to Pac.

Em has skills, his first album is a classic and he was spitting on it no question. After that though his image and subject matter just started to rub me the wrong way and his dikkriders just got way outta hand.

Also, for someone who is heralded as one of the best battlers ever, who has he really went to toe to toe with? Ja Rule? Cage? Benzino? :childplease: The same people who dikkride Em and call him the GOAT will shyt on someone like Cam who went to war on record with Jay, Nas, 50....Em can't claim to have those kind of accolades.

Another reason I can't really fukk with him like that is because of all these overnight hip-hop "fans" his stardom produced. People who never bought a rap record in their life all of a sudden bumping Eminem because he's white? :scusthov: Even now you got these fakkits who are like "I don't listen to rap but I like Eminem." It's not Em's fault but I'm sorry, I can't fukk with his music because of shyt like that. I just can't.

White people support their own though. What other washed up rapper could just come back out and have people fiendin to cop his shyt the day it drops? shyt is crazy.

lol at eminem and pac being overrated

fukk out of here eminem has battle rhymefest and juice
two of the best underground battlers ever

u talking about cam battling a past his prime jay-z and nas did not even respond to camron
and 50 cent he wack in alot people's minds lyrically so who did camron really battle ?

Eminem is more known for his multi's than punchlines....he doesn't sound anything like Finesse, just stop it.

As far as subject matter is concerned, he was definitely influenced by the outsidaz.

"your bytch said Aliens raped her and her 4 friends, but it was all the outz we dressed up like martians" - Young Zee....tell me that doesn't sound like some shyt Em would say. It sure as hell aint something Finesse would say. Why did Em sound so different on Infinite? Dude goes from writing love ballads like this:

...to talking about throwing his baby moms in a trunk :rudy:

and Cage was doing all that crazy whiteboy shyt before Em, that's why that beef existed to begin with.

I'm not saying Eminem isn't a talented MC, but he wasn't an innovator at all, and definitely nowhere near the GOAT.

and i don't give a fukk what eminem is most known for im going by the actual lyrics in his verses

look breh eminem got that whole heavy punchline every bar in the slim shady ep rap olympics slim shady lp days from finesse it's obvious u don't know what u talking about and he got that weird everyday joe smoe content crazy metaphors from redman and the whole heavy multisyllable rhyme style he got that from kool g rap.

I happen to believe that Eminem is technically a better rapper than Pac but both were people who were shoved down the public's throat so hell yeah, they are overrated.

And what I'm saying is that other rappers have to meet pre-requisites before even being in contention as the GOAT, Em has only 2 good albums, a hit movie, and an army of white people who don't even listen to rap exclusively over other genres going to bat for him and we are supposed to just accept him as one of the greats just because? Nope, sorry.

Eminem grew up in a predominately black community. Possibly has a minority who faced discrimination (the internet is telling me that Detroit is 80% black 12% white). Poor and without a father. Was around hip hop/rap. He was even shot at before. What part of the "black experience in America" is he missing? Unless he has lied about those things.
