If they're willing to trade Noel or Okafor, they must be feeling real confident about Embiid.
Again, they still have the worst guards in the league. SF isn't exactly a wealth of talent for that matter.

Possibly, the Sixers & Celtics discussed a trade at the deadline that involved Okafor.
The C's badly wanted one of the top two picks, they could draft Hield and keep him, but the best bet for them to get an offensive threat would be Okafor who is better right now than any big in the draft.
That's another thing, I don't see Okafor taking too kindly to the idea of being shopped or playing behind anybody either. He might start acting out again like he did earlier this year.Can't explore and not pull the trigger. If you think Oak was acting out last year you haven't seen nothing yet if he starts the season in a 6ers uniforms

And the young talent they have now is who exactly? Don't speak about them in hindsight - Jrue was one of the best PGs in his draft, Thad was a lottery pick and Turner was #2 overall.
He has a ton of talent but he's got his work cut out for him now though, there's a new Warden of the North, first of his name, protector of Minnesota and Lord of Minneapolis.....Karl Anthony Towns.
