heres another fact:
the league is extremely pass-biased now compared to then.

you are considered an inferior qb if you dont throw for 4k yards nowadays.

out of 34 times qbs threw for 4500 yards in a season, only EIGHT happened before 2000. and more than half of them was Marino or Fouts

I despise Lebron, but he averages 27.7 points a game for his career.... Saying if he was in the hand checking era, we drop that down to 23 automatically?

Players would adjust, as would teams adjust around players.. (Jordan would average his 30 some odd ppg in todays league, because teams would ADJUST, he wouldn't automatically average 45)..

because youre talking about 'little ass cbs' in todays game. back then defenders hit hard everywhere and were far harder to separate and make plays over

You brought up the numbers......The rules are why the numbers are somewhat exaggerated....

And there is no definitive way to find out if they would adjust in a different era of the game or not......

including peyton manning,kurt warner, montana and others

shyt, montana never had a 4k yard season in his career. young had two.
yet rice held all of those records
