My Pops Forever RIP
It's very strange that nowadays they are getting weaker, especially if they have more load management than back then in the 80s-90s when all players played through their injuries, while today they are all Mr. Glass with load management, yet all the media talk about how players nowadays are faster and stronger than back then in the 80s-early 00s, when physical was allowed, hard fouls, etc in 80s-late 90s. but yet today no physical touch and get injuries quick as fukk? Isn't that crazy? So it's pretty opposite.
careers were also shorter.

Haliburton with an Achilles injury back then = he's an analyst for the Big XII in 3 years.

The body is fragile and the way the game is played we're bordering on asking players to consistently do what the body won't allow.

Now you see these injuries and how long it takes to recover combined with the money, naturally you'll be hesitant to just play whenever.

The Yay
i just think the last 6 years have taught people that calf injuries are way worse than we thought they were. Before, if someone had a calf injury it was "rub some icy hot on it and stop being a bytch".

Now you gotta treat the calf the way someone favors the knee or in baseball when someone immediately grabs their elbow.
I was expecting CMC achilles to pop last year when they brought him back for few games. At least the Niners had common sense to shut him down. But if they were fighting for offs we'd probably see the end of his career.
