Whether you guys believe me not, Stoops retiring when his twin boys reached college age was always a well known secret within the fanbase, but we didn't think he was serious...... Welp.....

with baker mayfield he was getting 10-11 wins guranteed

I hope its not health related, even though he says it not, wouldnt be surprised if he went for a checkup and a dr warned him if he keeps up the 12-15 hour work days etc

Less than 100 days until the season starts is odd, but that's what he wants to do, so be it. He is leaving the program in good shape, no scandals, so it's cool. I wish he would have said something in January or February.

Lastly, we all said that in order to get rid of Mike Stoops we'd have to lose Bob too. Looks like that may happen... eventually. Word on the street is that Mike Stoops is staying for at least one more season to help with the contingency of the defense.

So this is the end of the Stoops Brothers era at OU.
