I like baseball but you could put me in the group that would only watch the world series if my team is in it. Also the season is too damn long. Cut that shyt down to about 100 games and have the playoffs in sept. And there is no reason all teams cant play each other every year, the sport has the most games and the least amount of interleague play

You can say all of this. But how will the purists take it. They already don't like interleague play as it is. maybe the purist thing is overexaggerated. But it exists for a reason.

it exists for $$ because historically, fans show up more for interleague games. That said, a lot of fans are over it. It's not going anywhere though. No matter how much the Yankees HATE the Subway Series, the Subway Series generates big time money

You've obviously never been to a rally race. Problem is, they never run at the same time. It's almost strictly a TV sport. The only competition is against the clock.

The various open wheel, sportscar, and stock car series are all better than rally which is why its almost never mentioned in any form in the US outside some stupid Ken Block videos. He himself is a good stunt driver but mediocre compared to real rally drivers.

i wouldnt go to any kind of car race, all them shyts are :camby:

Again, how are they dying when their revenue continues to grow? Isn't growing revenue a sign that it is in fact NOT dying, but rather is growing?

the fans are dying the only reason why baseball revenues are growing is because cable networks love sports, especially live sports.

its the reason rogers bought the blue jays, thast 162 nights of live material a year that will cover like 7pm to 10pm on weekdays and 1-4 on weekends, live sports is the one thing that no one really dvrs except for scouts. The demographic of baseball is dying once these old whites die off so will baseball and it will be a fringe sport.

look you live in st louis a baseball town so your eyes are bias and all you grew up was with this old archaic game seeing guys like ozzie smith and mark mcgwire

Speed the fukking game up. It's tooooo slow. Too many times I'm watching batters perform turret syndrome like rituals each and every time they step in the batters box, in-between every pitch. Some of these batters take a fukking stroll after every pitch. Each pitcher has to walk off the mound every pitch, look at the outfield to spot their fam, adjust their caps, lick their fingers, and all other types of shyt.

It's just too fukking long. Use a 24 second pitch clock. If the pitchers can't get ready by the time 24 seconds tick off, it's an automatic ball. If it's the batters fault automatic strike.

Speed it up, make it exciting. Put pressure on these guys.

Lol that shyt will never happen but I feel you

We don't have a mlb team in indy but the only time I might take a peek at baseball is in the playoffs and that's a big might. I watched a total of about 15 mins of game 2. In between flipping back and forth from the panthers/bucs and nba preseason. Before last night the last postseason baseball I watched was when boston came back from down 3-0 to the yankees. That was pretty exciting I must admit. Regular season baseball highlights on sportscenter are a pain in the ass to watch. I'd rather watch hockey highlights.

Am I the only person in the whole wide world that wishes baseball was weekly? Stretch it out from april to september but games are played on Saturdays. It makes each game more valuable and more intense.

honestly this has been the best post season in a long time

i'm loving this post season

maybe to improve ratings would be having a time limit between pitches, some people take way too long.

and yes purists would get mad at any type of alteration because it would mess up the records and stats

at least baseball isn't like basketball where every fkn series is 7 games, with like 2 or 3 days of no playing between games. so the playoffs are like 2 months. that shyt is gheyyyy

and smh at people saying baseball is just for white people.. bruh fukking half of the MLB is going to be latino in 5 years

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
The NBA isn't trying to be a national sport, it aims for the global market, hence all that Basketball without borders shyt. They are scouring the globe and setting up workshops to get kids interesting in playing the sport itself, once you have people from that country in the league you then have a pipeline to draw players from and viewers tuning in to watch their countrymen.

What they are doing is very smart, and will probably make it the 3rd most popular league in the world behind La Liga and Premiership in the next 20 years.

I would say they're 3rd right now, they are looking in the next 20 years to challenge the EPL as the most popular league worldwide....

I hated baseball all my life. Let me tell you why.

The game is two slow. They need a shot clock for pitches. There is no reason for a 5 min rest after every pitch :beli:

There is no cap. Can't even take them seriously. If all teams could compete maybe more people would watch
