This entire thread is about taking shots at people who actually know how to bench....

Barbells will always shyt on dumbbells.

Anyone who says or thinks otherwise knows they ain't really strong and they're just looking for an easy way out. :umad:

ol I use dumbbells because my wrist start hurting when I bench with a barbell weak ass nikkas...

:mjlol:you nikkas lift weights all day and get shook by homeless nikkas on the street shut the fukk up. High Schoolers be having you nikkas sweatin' like a hoe in church, you not impressing nobody but lames who think anybody cares they didn't peak in high school.

Breh you know better than this....

You can easily do both....

And most sensible and in shape people incorporate both.

And while "bench press" maybe overrated the goat exercises are still barbell squats, power cleans and deadlifts.

Don't let these dumbbell chumps steer the convo otherwise.

They really picked bench, to pick on barbells. When its all about squats and deadlifts.

Those exercises are what separate the boys from men.
Lol. Try a set of hand stand push ups.

I have said it in numerous threads on this forum over the years,I did nothing but high volume calisthenics just about everyday from the age of 17 to 30....and sure,I put on some size, gained some strength and looked good...but once I started lifting regularly from age 30 on (I am now 42),my body composition and strength went through the roof.
And I STILL incorporate calisthenics into my routine, its just that now all that shyt does is warm me up for the real meal ahead.
You was playing around. And I’m sure you knew way less about nutrition

Most people with weak benches hate on bench pressing  eat more little nikkas.

All jokes aside everyone is different. Some people get better results with dumbbells some people get better results with barbells some people get better results with calisthenics. Do what works for you :manny: I incorporate all 3

I can't even call it "overrated" anymore. I never hear anyone recommend bench press with a barbell for actual real-world benefit. Not saying it doesn't increase strength, but whatever your actual goals are there is always something else better for reaching them than bench press.

Unless, of course, your only goal is to max in bench press. Which for some people is basically the only reason they lift because they have no real-world use of their body.

That real world benefit argument is retarded. Other than squats, what lifts have real world benefits? And even then it’s only to a certain extent. When are you gonna lift something more than 200lbs off the ground or put something that weighs 100+ lbs over your head outside of the gym? Unless you’re an athlete, lifting is just a hobby.
