Teachers made it sound so easy back in grade school. Moving out, Picking College, Degree, Jobs.

Teachers Made it seem like College was the answer to everything before HS

HS teachers looking when they see people talking about going to big schools and then looking at the gradebook


None of em told till highschool you need a certain SAT/GPA/ACT to get in the schools, plus cost, plus a degree doesnt guarantee a job



Nowadays you Going through 3 interviews just to get a Job

People wasting 40K on Degrees only to be told its not enough or there arent many job markets

I work at UPS and I spoke with one of my managers a few years back. He was talking about how "you kids wanna major in communication and wonder why you don't get jobs!"

Like mahfukka, your ass didnt even go to college and worked your way up to a nearly six figure job with a seven figure retirement package.

And they got the nerve to tell us up and coming guys to get degrees

Jesus christ. The conversations I used to have with my mom when I could not get a job. She talmbout dressing nice and showing up 15 minutes early.

You know what showing up 15 minutes early to interviews get you nowadays? A 25 minute wait, cause they are busy and they will move you to another
room just to have you wait a few more minutes.

I wish I could just walk into places, tell them I am interested, and be told "Ok, come back Monday." Nowadays you get told *while in the establishment* that

you have to apply online. Not only that, but background checks, unless they rush them, can have you waiting a few weeks for a callback...IF they call you back.

One job I worked, I was hired, but nobody called me back. I had to call in to get the offer for employment

In a lot of ways, the last few generations had it fukking easy. They left a pile of shyt for us 20-30 somethings, and blame us for it

In my opinion a grown ass man should not be working a fulltime job that at least doesn't pay

-rent/mortgage
-health insurance
-car insurance/maintenance
-food
-cell phone bills
-utilities (water/gas/electric/internet/sewage/trash)
-student loans/credit card bills/car payment
-savings(401k, emergency, stocks/bonds/mutual funds)

When there aren't enough jobs paying to support this you'll eventually end up with shyt like this when people have had enough

But you give half the poor enough to be comfortable they'll keep the other half in check and blame them for their conditions.

ok, just a side note, its really girding my gears that most of yall refer to a lot of people as "Millennials". When, as currently constituted, a millennial is technically any one born from the 1980s to 2000.

I lost my job less than 5 years ago working retail. A week later I got a car salesman job. month after that I got the callback for a second job working at a restaurant. It's on you.

A job is a stepping stone to get your own personal shyt going. I'm still broke but on the up and up. Yall be lookin for a job like y'all homeless lookin for shelter. You're doin it wrong. That's just my opinion any way
