This is similar shyt to what baby boomers and/or privileged people say about everyone else that struggles. "I'm doing great, why can't you?:ld:"

The economy is fukked, especially compared to what it was back then. That's an actual fact, not an excuse, not a copout, a fact. Next yall are gonna tell people to "pull themselves up by their bootstraps".

Also, wonder what you two would have to say to cacs who deny racism and tell you to "quit playing the race card" :jbhmm: Same difference.

My point is, I don't care if you gotta bag groceries, you can get a job. The problem is, most of these kids today are entitled and think they should just walk on the scene and get $50k just because. It doesn't work like that. Yes the racism is there, but it can be overcome.

Agree times a 1000000 competition is fierce for jobs it was sad I was working at a fortune 100 company and I was helping do interviews EVERY WEEK even though we didn't have a opening in our district. I asked why and the district manager told me legally they had to host so many interviews smh we would call people back 6-9 months later like hey remember you came into interview. Then on top of that people would be super qualified and getting entry level jobs paying shyt pay with a promise of being a manger in a couple of years. I feel sorry for the next generation at the very least we had jobs in high school its to the point the fast food jobs have grown people at the registers now. Damn

Jesus christ. The conversations I used to have with my mom when I could not get a job. She talmbout dressing nice and showing up 15 minutes early.

You know what showing up 15 minutes early to interviews get you nowadays? A 25 minute wait, cause they are busy and they will move you to another
room just to have you wait a few more minutes.

I wish I could just walk into places, tell them I am interested, and be told "Ok, come back Monday." Nowadays you get told *while in the establishment* that

you have to apply online. Not only that, but background checks, unless they rush them, can have you waiting a few weeks for a callback...IF they call you back.

One job I worked, I was hired, but nobody called me back. I had to call in to get the offer for employment:dahell:

In a lot of ways, the last few generations had it fukking easy. They left a pile of shyt for us 20-30 somethings, and blame us for it:rudy:

Honestly, I've walked into a job filled out an application and asked to give it to the manager. I'm sure a lot of the people let whoever is working there take it and throw it in a desk. Got the job and started the same week. I've seen people go into interviews with jeans on and show up right on time expecting to get hired. Be early :yeshrug:

I call and damn near harass the people and send thank you letters. Most of the people hiring you are of older age, they appreciate that kind of stuff. Just because you carefully crafted your linkdn page and blocked your FB doesn't mean shyt nowadays. I'm not disagreeing with you :whoa:, but there's a happy medium.

There is a lot of entitlement, the fact of the matter is, however, that this generation definitely has it a lot harder than prior generations for damn sure. As people mentioned earlier, back then you could drop out of high school, land a job and make bank. Nowadays you could have a four year degree and still struggle to find work, and that's not just in their respective fields.... That's not an excuse, that's real. There are people out here working several jobs to pay off their student loans, how are they making excuses for speaking on what lead to this?

Maybe they should have worked harder in school, got scholarships, and not had student debt? I only have an undergrad degree, people ask me all the time am I gonna go back and get my masters:mjlol:

For what? To have $80gz in debt for little to no difference in my salary. Hell no.

I made $29gz straight out of school. I'm now making 6 figures cuz I was willing to pay dues, and do a bunch of bullshyt work and work my way up. I think a lot of kids today are not willing to do that:yeshrug:

But yes I do agree with you, economically the US is worse off than our parents generation, but it can be overcome and you can be successful if you do things the right way.

You're an exception. Not the rule. Some people need to realize that their experiences don't set the standard for everyone else. "Maybe they should have worked harder in school?"

Just like a wealthy person saying "Work hard and you'll be rich!" Not that simple. Not everyone has access to the same opportunities you did.

That's a bullshyt philosophy to have in today's time because minimum wage and a 40 hr work week still equals poverty. I will agree there are a lot of millennials with a self entitled attitude but to grab any job and work iT JUST BECAUSE is a dumb philosophy.

My question is where the US economy is heading in 20 years? This student loan bubble is growing fast. Wages are not rising fast enough. The cost of living is rising fast. You have cities and states are running deficits they cant long term afford. shyt is gonna be ugly in 25 years. Blacks folks need to prepare for when shyt gets real here.

It's ugly now. America is a borderline 3rd world country with 1st world window dressing.

I;m also surprised that I don't hear as many economist ringing the alarm on the student loan bubble, which has the potential to be FAR MORE DAMAGING than the housing bubble.

Explain to me how having a job, being self sufficient (being a man) is a dumb philosophy over being a broke, unemployed crybaby:patrice:
