i had a conversation with a baby boomer yesterday

had to be the most selfish entitled insufferable a$$hole i ever came across
Let's face it, both baby boomers and millenials are both the most entitled generations to exist, only difference is that baby boomers got to actually reap benefits

My question is where the US economy is heading in 20 years? This student loan bubble is growing fast. Wages are not rising fast enough. The cost of living is rising fast. You have cities and states are running deficits they cant long term afford. shyt is gonna be ugly in 25 years. Blacks folks need to prepare for when shyt gets real here.

It will be still a million times better than being born in the Favellas, Syria or Soweto.....

You gotta hustle out here these days. You gotta hustle out here these days. You gotta hustle out here these days. It isn't an end all be all answer but if you are good at something and folks will pay for it it's money you didn't have before. shyt comes in clutch as the youngsters say.

Middle class no longer dominates in the U.S.

Middle class no longer dominates in the U.S.

by Tami Luhby @Luhby December 9, 2015: 4:10 PM ET

"Middle class Americans now comprises less than half, or 49.9%,of the nation's population, down from 61% in 1971, according to a new Pew Research Center report. For Pew, middle class Americans live in households earning between two-thirds to two times the nation's median income. In 2014, that ranged from $41,900 to $125,600 for a three-person household.

Bagging groceries is the dumb philosophy. I can tell you are either under 25 or a CAC because your philosophies lack any real life logic behind it.

If you making minimum wage bagging groceries it cost more money for you to go to the job in gas or public transpo then the job is worth so you are essentially losing money doing this. But since your other option is cry baby bum (very cacish btw) you obviously haven't considered the other possibilities of making money through various hustles (hence the inexperience)

You still haven't answered how being broke and unemployed>>>minimum wage 40 hour a week gig.

You have no idea about what I do, you're just making assumptions to feel better. As I said in this thread, I'm doing just fine and I started out low as hell financially. But I didn't have a car note (had the same car for years) and had minimal student debt. I've never been broke since being on my own, I've always been able to get jobs if I needed to. Now talk to me about hustle breh.

Sorry if my cry baby bum came off harsh, I'm just saying one can complain about their spot in life, or you can DO something about it. :yeshrug:

I will also say, that if I was a youngin faced with $80gz tuition right now, I doubt I would have went to college, would have learned a trade or got IT certs. Hell of a lot cheaper, always in demand. And you'll get paid.

I def agree that just a degree doesn't guarantee you a nice paying job these days like it used to.

The world isn't gonna change, you have to adapt and hustle. It is what it is.

CAC shyt :camby:

This ain't nothing new to black folks. fukk these whining ass CACs and their struggles. I have no sympathy for these New Millennium CACs.
My dad got a job, was in the military, and got out and got his job right back.
My mom spent a total of 3 months of her entire adulthood unemployed.
My grandmother and grandfather both only had one job their entire 40 and 43 year careers.
Trust me, this really applies to millennials.

I agree with you, but these millenials are lazy and entitled. Anybody that really wants a job can get one. It may not be your ideal job/situation, but I don't have sympathy for people who bytch about not being able to get a job. Thats BS.

Should have picked a different field and shouldn't have taken on a shyt load of debt. And my cousin got her law degree but ended up being an accountant cuz no firms were hiring.

We've got to get in on this Internet Money (and I don't just mean Twitter/Instagram). Start brainstorming a way to make money with your hobbies, get a concept, and a domain name. Having your own server and coding skills help but you don't even need them with websites like Wix out there.

Internet = Minimal overhead (Domain name/Hosting), Tax Dodging potential, Skin-Color Irrelevant, Be Your Own Boss

The US is tapped out on resources. Service jobs are going straight to the toilet over the next decade, I'm trying to get out while I can into something sustainable like the Medical Field until I go Self-Employed Full-Time. The internet is only going to get bigger as developing countries get their hands on smartphones and Laptops.

As far as this topic goes, I'm disappointed in my dad who wasted all of his excess union salary gambling every chance he could get, even to this day he blows his monthly retirement and pension check at the Race Track/Casino (do pensions even exist anymore:wow:). Then people look at me funny when I tell them I don't play the powerball or drink/smoke.
