Yup. Not just cuz its Nas but becuz of all the verses he was dropping on the run up to the album

I wasn't really excited for To Pimp A Butterfly, but I had the next day off work when it dropped so I def stayed up late smoking and listening to it in a way I hadn't done in at least 10 years...

LOL!!! I can't even remember. Prolly when I liked kid Cudi (many moons ago) but I can't remember an artist that I really liked. Maybe young thug but that's it (he obviously has an ear for good music.) Or school boy q (really liked him at one point. His buzz is done)

The first Jeezy album :snoop::manny:

edit: I take that back - Carter 3... at the time Wayne was incredible. I think the last summer that I was truly excited for new rap was the summer that all the Wayne tracks were leaking (2007)

i made this thread because tonight when i was listenin' to npr and listenin' to jazz now more than ever has became a new "high" for me in the way that hip hop use to be

to be honest with y'all, the last album i was hype for i think was dilla's donuts

i had the advance a few months before the retail came out and the advance was only snippets so for months i kept that shyt in my cd player and car and enjoyed those 30 second snippets and it won't even all of the tracks, it might've been like only 25 of em'

but those instrumentals were and still are like a pot of gold to me

What jazz you listening to?
