2Pac wasn't shyt until "Dear Mama" and then getting down with the "It Crew". Biggie had a bigger impact and presence than 2Pac as well, his record sales, outside of his singles weren't that great. This is when New Yorkers was like every nikka in Cali got a whip, nikkas in NY ride the bus and trains so they don't records.

Loved Makaveli but it didn't impact Hip Hop on the level of SOC. Now I could see someone saying "All Eyez" was is also up there as one of the best Westcoast LP's.

Coming home from school to watch Biggie and Pac interviews and videos on Rap City and Yo MTV Raps will always be my greatest memories. Kids today think Youtube is cool for them but actually cooler for guys like me who grew up in the 90's cause we use to have to record the videos with VHS off the TV to watch them over and over again. LOL. Now I can watch all my favorite videos from that era.

1/3 hit singles
1/3 movies

He didnt have a classic album 91-94, and so from a rap success point of view Biggie was a more successful rapper pre 95 on a pure rapping tip. Its a subtle distiction

MATW is when pacs music matured and he caught up, the other components of success were already there, in 95 the quality of his music went to that next level

I call him moderately successful because he wasnt pushing millions of records there was an entire class of artists that were on a higher tier

And i refuse to acknowledge hip hop elite snobbery and ny bias where albums like the infamous and 36 chambers are routinely called classics (which i respect) but then fans outside the NY bubble get the when we mention all eyez on me

but still, the term "moderately successful" is an under-statement. also, there weren't a lot of rappers pushing millions at the time that didn't have some sort of asterisk next to it. lets be real.

Pac or his estate doesn't owe Jimmy Henchmen anything....All of his album sales were certified by RIAA in 95 including his debut album. AEOM was certified in 98'. His first two albums were certified by RIAA two years and 3 years; respectively So your logic doesn't prove shyt. His singles did impressive numbers as well. (before 95').
