his legacy would look completely different if the refs didnt fukk over the kings

in my book, it was as good as getting the ring :manny:

that kings team had a lot of talent but it wouldnt have worked without cwebb. all that ball movement would have stopped with a majority of other big men. he was an elite passer for his position and in general. crisp, on point and could make the fancy ones too. cwebb is a gawd in the game :wtb:

if you want to talk about big men not enhancing their talent youd have to talk about sheed more than cwebb. he had a great career, was a great player and is one of my favorite players of all time, but he could have been ten times better. his blazers got fukked over too, but at least he got that ring as an instrumental cog in detroit

the thing about the nba is most people will forget, especially the casual fan how good a player once was... idk if its cuz of the never ending fresh talent that comes in or what exactly.... for example i know most already forgot how great Shaq was in his prime.

ya i agree... i think his mind held him back... he was just so skilled and fluid... i would say he has the best hands of all time, him and hakeem.

honestly, i think the blazers getting screwed fukked his head up. he called the nba professional wrestling and that the refs were crooked and was on donaghy early. he even went immediately to the ref's office after the celtics-lakers office. i think he kinda mailed it in since then and just played good team ball rather than going all out in training and all that

his points and field goal % all dropped to levels never above anything he really did in portland since he left there (at least during his prime in portland)

I saw him play when I was young but I never understood the hype.

why was he the #1 recruit going into college? why'd they make such a big deal about when he was drafted?

was it the mid range game? was it the versatility in hairstyles?

seriously tho, what was it. He seemed like a good all around player but never overly GREAT in anything.

help me out.

If it wasn't for the refs, Webber would have at least 1 ring, then all this stupid talk would stop. He was the main reason the Kings were dominant for years, the closest modern comparison I can think of is maybe a cross between KD, Deron Williams, and Kevin Love. He had all the attributes of a 2 guard with respects to handles, could shoot the long range and take you off the dribble like a point-forward, and passed like a point guard. One of the most underrated players ever in the 90s IMHO.

ask around
the fact that centers of today get backhanded compliments shows you that no one has forgotten how great Shaq was since he was the last truly great center.

Unless your peers are 13 year olds, you are speaking rubbish.

Man I came up in Detroit at the same time Chris did and ended up in DC at the same time...dude was one of the MOST TALENTED Big Men ever.:birdman: and was possibly the best talent to EVER come out of the Detroit area. The Wizards have NEVER been the same after trading Chris. Chris biggest drawback was HIMSELF...EVERYTHING came to him to early and it stunted his growth mentally. He never really wanted to be the MAN or listen to anyone whom challenged him. Sorta like ALL Detroit nikkas in general :manny:
I'm also in the group who thinks that the Webber/Shaq dynamic could have worked. The Magic already had Scott Skiles whom would have been the PERFECT setup guard for those two. At this point I just hope that Chris gets his rightful spot in the Hall of Fame :to:
