Old heads, what were some things you HATED about the 90s?

I heard shyt was worse back in the day. What's the craziest shyt you remember?

There's only one incident I'll remember in my life. It was when a women got her kid kidnapped. I was outside the house with my father and some lady ran up to us saying some lady kidnapped my child. All I remember was that the whole block was chasing after that thief. To me I was just worried about why everyone was screaming.

When I got older my father told me, that she was a crackhead and was trying to sell the kid for some cash. That's when I started to look into the crack era and the communities it hit.

Also, everybody wanted to be a blood in my hood as well, but that was lay 90's-2000's.

I swear to science I felt like a king when my mom showed me how to do that shyt. I figured it's cause she wanted me to be up on game so I could tape Ninja Turtles and Swat Kats during the Summer when I got locked out the house and went to go ride bikes and get into bullshyt. Nope. She had me learn that shyt from young so I'd be able to reset the different timers to record them fukk ass soaps of hers. Had me write down the schedule to all her shows during that time so I'd know what time to set each one to accordingly.

It's my uncle who taught me how to dub them tapes though....so I'd bring his VCR upstairs with a copy of Black Cheer Leaders #25 (shyts used to be in them conspicuous ass colours like Red and Blue so you had to be extra careful) Record on to a blank tape.....*Hustle Activated* 'Till someone got caught and snitched on my ass, but still. T'was a wonderful time being the porn plug back then.

Couple more things, remember when you would finally get that new SNES/SEGA and your mom aint cop the RF adapter so you could hook it up through the tv, and you had to spend all day trying to figure out how to hook it up to the damn VCR (thank god for hdmi)

On the same note, remember when people aint have cable, and you had to spend all day adjusting the bunny ears to get a signal

Lastly, for my folks that remember the old tvs with two dial nobs

and one of them bytches fell off, you had to find a set of pliers just to change the damn channel.(on a second note, fukk those tvs for being so hard to change the channel)

I remember when I got my Nintendo and had it hooked up in my Mom's room but rule of thumb back then was that unless you family or given explicit permission, you were never allowed in a grownup's room, so she locked the door on my ass when she went to work and we had to try and get it work on one of these old shyts.

When we finally got that shyt working, man.... Until some dusty ass, walking miles from village to village ole slave lookin' ass childhood friend of your grandparents came over and you got kicked out the living room on some bullshyt.......so you tucked your console under your arm, hopped on a bike and had to go find one of your partners who had a free tv and pray it didn't have a VCR on it that was timed to tape a show.
If you didn't have a collection of friends to rotate tv's with when you got thrown off or knew where every adult's pornostash was in the house you had to be handicapped as a kid back in them days.

Had another Uncle who had like a library shelf built just for his dubbed movies. shyt was atleast 8 feet tall and took up an entire wall. Dude was on par with the local Vid Rental to the point where the owner used to come to him and dub copies he either had lost/stolen. He taught me how to set tracking levels to make the picture clear, how to use the tape cleaner head shyts with the cotton thread in it that cleaned the head as well as put me up on just coating a blank/unwanted tape and letting that run for a bit to clean it up if you weren't keen on opening it up and attacking that shyt with a cotton swab and some Alcohol......which he also taught me how to do. I should hit him up, old fool prolly has a server stack or two just downloading HD movies and hoarding them shyts like the OCD b*stard that he was.
